Ken Davenport, producer of the long running off-Broadway hits Altar Boyz and Awesome 80s Prom, will present a series of two invitation-only readings for My First Time, a documentary-style theater piece in the style of The Vagina Monologues, featuring true stories about people's first sexual experience, all submitted online.

The show is scheduled to open Off-Broadway this Summer.

Inspired by the website MyFirstTime.com, created by Peter Foldy and Craig Paddock, the show "takes a close look at this 'brief' moment in all of our lives by giving voices to the anonymous internet submissions from all around the globe.  The stories featured in My First Time are sweet, tragic, absurd, funny, heterosexual, homosexual, awkward, shy, sexy and everything in between.  And 101% true. In addition to these real stories and monologues performed by the two men and women in My First Time, creator/producer Ken Davenport also promises a few twists that he guarantees will get the audience remembering their own first time," state press notes.

The readings, which are by invitation only, will be Wednesday January 31st and Thursday February 1st, at New World Stages.  Featured in the cast will be Josh Barrett, David Flaherty, Natalie Knepp and Kathy Searle.
