Wayside's Young Performer's Workshop Recitals Held 3/9, 3/10

Artistic Director, Warner Crocker announced today that the Wayside Theatre's Young Performer's Workshop Recitals are scheduled for Monday, March 9 and Tuesday, March 10 the Saturday Series Classes Recitals will be March 7. The YPW performance will be held at Wayside Theatre, Middletown, VA. The Monday and Tuesday Recital performances are at 7:00 PM and the Saturday Series performances at 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM. Admission is Free to the public. According to Crocker, "It is always exciting to see young people performing on stage, developing a sense of assurance in their ability and working as a team. We are excited about the young people who take the classes. We hope the public will attend and see what Wayside Theatre's "Education in Action" program has to offer the children in our regional area. The admission is free to the public and a great way to introduce children to viewing their peers' accomplishments."

Monday, March 9, 2008 Winter Recital performance will feature the YPW 1 Monday Class: Olivia Pettler (Winchester), Emma Shanabrook (Winchester), Muryssa George (Moorefield, WV) Shannon Shockey (Old Field, WV), Alexandria Ragle (Amissville), Kristofer Miller (Front Royal), Lily-Cate Jones (Front Royal), Hannah Arthur (Edinburg) and Kathy Fadely (Middletown) as Stage Manager, directed by Sarah Blackwell. They will be performing an one-act play. The YPW 2: Zoe Pettler (Winchester) Brett McFerrin (Capon Bridge, WV), Beth Kraemer (Woodstock) Katherine Murphy (Toms Brook), Luke Meador (Front Royal), Bre Tomlinson (Front Royal) and Stage Manager is Katie Hemmen (Winchester) directed by Thomasin Savaiano. They will be performing a one-act play and monologues.

Tuesday, March 10, 2008 Winter Recital performance will feature the YPW 1 Monday Class: Myah Bales (Winchester), Emily Gregory (Middletown), Anna Demarest (Winchester), Lucy Hardman (Woodstock) and Ashley Salalaucks (Middletown) as Stage Manager, directed by Thomasin Savaiano. They will be performing a one-act play. YPW 2: Ellen Hollingworth ((Winchester) and Danielle Stryker (Winchester) and Kim Steenson as Stage Manager (Stephens City), directed by Richard Follett. YPW IMPROV!: Kayla Racey (Strasburg) and Chris Clark (Winchester) performing improv suggestions, directed by Richard Follett.

Saturday, March 7, 2008 Winter Recital will feature the following YPPlayhouse: Claire Selner (Strasburg) Samantha Pitts (Berryville) Drew Schwentker (Middletown), Patrick Treutlein (Linden) Elizabeth Schick (Linden) Margaret Haun (Woodstock) Joseph Haun (Woodstock) The performance will be staged managed by Ashley Salalaucks and directed by Sarah Blackwell. Performance will be at 10:30 AM.

YPW IMPROV! Class: Emily Crawford (Front Royal) Kimberly Davis (Winchester) Julian Bussells (Linden) Daniel Russell (Edinburg) Hannah Stein (Moorefield, WV) performing improv suggestions, directed by Chris Herring, will perform at 11:30 AM

The Wayside Theatre Performers Workshop Winter Recitals will be performed March 9 and 10 at 7:00 PM and are free to the public, as well as, Saturday March 7 at 10:30 and 11:30 AM performances.

Wayside Theatre is the second oldest professional theatre in the Commonwealth of Virginia and is celebrating its 47th of presenting high quality, professional entertainment.
