The next installment of "LC Originals: Songwriters," at the David Rubenstein Atrium at Lincoln Center will offer an evening of new songs inspired by Lincoln Center, created by some of Broadway and Off-Broadway's leading songwriters, and performed by four outstanding actors. It takes place Monday, May 2 at 7:30 pm. Admission is free.

"LC Originals," is a new, free series in which artists share new works and reveal the creative process. It's curated and produced for Lincoln Center by award-winning directors Lonny Price and Matt Cowart. 'LC Originals: First Look," brings audiences behind-the-scenes in the creation of new musicals, offering a sneak peek of a work-in-progress. "LC Originals: Songwriters," challenges noted songwriters to compose new songs inspired by Lincoln Center, which are then performed in a cabaret-style performance by established and rising musical theater actors.

On May 2nd the participating songwriters are: Drew Fornarola (Off-Broadway's Straight); Daniel Israel & Phoebe Kreutz (The Dirty Hippie Jam Band Project); Zak Sandler (Anthem); Steven Sater (Spring Awakening) & James Bourne (Murder at the Gates); Cody Owen Stine (The Prisoner of Vegas); Jeffrey Stock (Triumph of Love); and Jim Walton (MID-LIFE! The Crisis Musical). The performers will include: Thomas Michael Allen (The Water Coolers); Adam Kantor (Fiddler on the Roof, Rent); Ariane Rinehart (NBC's The Sound of Music Live!); and Michael Winther (Mamma Mia!). Music Director for the evening is Patrick Sulken.

Admission is FREE; Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. The David Rubenstein Atrium, Frieda and Roy Furman Stage is located at Broadway between 62nd & 63rd Streets. For more information about this and all of the free events at the Atrium, visit LincolnCenter.org/Atrium.
