Broadway/Hollywood crossover performers Kerry Washington, Mark Ruffalo, Jessica Chastain and Alec Baldwin join with screen stars Chris Evans, Melissa McCarthy and Eric Stonestreet for the striking and inventively filmed new PSA for the GOT YOUR 6 veteran's awareness-raising charity campaign.
"Having someone's back - it's about being there when you're needed," says a faceless figure.
"It's about standing up for what you believe in," says another, viewed from the rear.
"In the military, 'Got your 6' means 'I've got you're back," says a third figure with his back turned to the screen.
"Through jobs, education, housing and more we can support returning military veterans and their families," says Baldwin of the message of the GOT YOUR 6 campaign before he and the other celebrities face the camera for a call to arms - and to repeat of the GOT YOUR 6 slogan.
The official description of the GOT YOUR 6 campaign is as follows: "Do you know what it means to have someone's back? In the military, Got Your 6 means got your back. Got Your 6 is working to empower veterans and their families to ensure they are seen as leaders and civic assets. Join celebrities including Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Eric Stonestreet, Melissa McCarthy, Jessica Chastain and Kerry Washington in supporting Got Your 6 and re-entering veterans into leaders of our societies."
