Karen Akers--the Tony-nominee known for her interpretations of French-language standards--will be featured in the Washington Ballet's
oui,non/In The Upper Room/In the Night. The triple bill of world premieres will be presented at the Kennedy Center's Eisenhower Theatre from October 25th through 29th at 8 PM, and additionally, on October 28th at 2:30 PM.

Akers created the role of Luisa in the original Broadway production of Nine; she received a Tony Award nomination for her performance. She was also featured in another Maury Yeston/Tommy Tune musical--Grand Hotel. Her film credits include Heartburn and Woody Allen's The Purple Rose of Cairo,
while she has been seen on TV in "Cheers."
