Diana Buirski, whose "smart illustrative staging" of The Two Noble Kinsmen (the creative team's first collaboration) was heralded by Variety in 2010, will direct the production. Performances will be at IRT Theater, 154 Christopher Street, #3B, at the corner of Washington Street, from October 21 to November 12 (Saturdays at 9pm, Sundays through Tuesdays at 7pm, with a Preview Performance on Friday, October 21 at 8pm, matinee performances on Sunday, November 5 and 12 at 3pm, and an additional Friday performance on November 11 at 9pm). All tickets are $18, and reservations can be made at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/194724 or by calling the Ticket Hotline at (800) 838-3006.

What really happened inside Henry David Thoreau's cabin at Walden Pond? Wonder no more! Self-proclaimed Thoreau scholar Charles Rucklemore, III will show you the exact truth - or something really, really close to it. Part fantasy, part mythology, part clown-show, and all inspired by Thoreau's Walden, Walled In tells the story of one man's determination to live the life he has imagined.

Founded in 2010 by Zack Fine, Diana Buirski, and Christopher Tramantana, The Room (theatre company) devises original works that strike a match to the heart of the imagination. By placing the performer(s) at the center of the development process, their pieces re-imagine and re-conceive base texts with a playful physicality and vocal ingenuity that engage audiences in a joyful expression of live performance.

Walled In was developed, in part, with assistance from SPACE on Ryder Farm (www.spaceonryderfarm.com). An excerpt of Walled In was also presented at the 2011 "One Man Talking" Solo Festival, curated by Emerging Artists Theatre.

Frances Black Projects was established in 2009 for the world premiere of Even Maybe Tammy, a Commedia Dell'Arte conceived and directed by Christopher Bayes. Frances Black is the Director of Programs at A.R.T./New York and independently produces shows primarily in the comedy, commedia, and clown genre. She is a graduate of the Yale School of Drama M.F.A in Theatre Management.
