The Prom will come to Netflix! Ryan Murphy has revealed that he will develop a film version of the Broadway musical to premiere on the streaming service. He is set to keep the Broadway creative team on board.

The Cher Show is headed to The Tonight Show! The late night television show will have its first Broadway takeover, dedicated to all things Cher, and featuring the Broadway cast!

Winners have been announced for the IRNE Awards, which include wins for Broadway-bound musical Jagged Little Pill, Moulin Rouge, and more! Check out the full list of winners below!

Details have emerged about the fire at the American Shakespeare Theatre. Police have reported that two teenagers have been charged with setting the fire.

3) Wake Up With BWW 4/10: THE PROM Movie, IRNE Awards, and More!  Image JAGGED LITTLE PILL, MOULIN ROUGE And More Winners Announced For the 23rd Annual IRNE Awards; Danny Burstein, Lauren Patten and More!

Global Creatures' Broadway-bound Moulin Rouge and the Huntington Theatre Company's production of Man in the Ring were the big winners at the 23rd Annual IRNE Awards, as the two productions garnered a dozen awards between them. Moulin Rouge took home seven awards, including Best Musical, New Musical and Director in the Large Stage category, and Man in the Ring was honored with five, including the Best Play, Director, and Actor awards. Moonbox Productions' Cabaret earned a half-dozen awards, including Best Musical, and Best Director and Choreography awards for its director, Rachel Bertone. Lauren Patten of JAGGED LITTLE PILL took home the award for Best Supporting Actress for a Large Company.. (more...)

BWW Exclusive: Broadway Sessions Bids Farewell to KINKY BOOTS!

Broadway has bid farewell to Tony winning smash, Kinky Boots. Well, we weren't going to let that happen without inviting the cast to Broadway Sessions for one final strut!!! Cast members gathered to tell stories from their runs in the show (some down right shocking!, ahem Mia Gentile), others so tender. Either way, every musical performance was simply amazing! What we're geeking out over: Ryan Murphy To Develop Film Adaptation Of THE PROM For Netflix

Last night six-time Emmy Award winner Ryan Murphy hosted a special performance of The Prom to benefit Hetrick Martin, GLAAD and The Trevor Project.

At curtain call the Glee creator dropped a bombshell when he announced that he'll be adapting the hit musical into a film event for Netflix!

The adaptation will be the first project in Murphy's deal with Netflix. According to his Instagram, Murphy will be bringing the entire Broadway creative team on board for the project.


What we're watching: Find Your Truth With All New MOULIN ROUGE! Teaser

A new block of tickets is now on sale for Moulin Rouge! The Musical, based on the 2001 Twentieth Century Fox Motion Picture by Baz Luhrmann. Moulin Rouge! The Musical will begin performances on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre on June 28, 2019 ahead of a July 25 opening night.

Tickets are available at ticketmaster.com now through February 2, 2020 for this open-ended run.

In addition, a new teaser video has been released, titled 'Truth.'


Social Butterfly: Jeremy Jordan Takes His First Bow in WAITRESS

Jeremy Jordan has officially opened up his run in Waitress! He will perform opposite Shoshana Bean as Jenna through May 12. Jeremy succeeds Joey McIntyre who played his final performances on April 7.

Bundy made her professional debut at age 9, in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular. Since then, she has originated the roles of "Tina Denmark" in Ruthless The Musical, "Amber Von Tussle" in Hairspray, "Elle Woods" in Legally Blonde, and took a turn as "Glinda" in the smash hit Wicked. She has earned numerous nominations for her performances, including a Tony Award nomination for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical, an Outer Critics Circle nominations, and Drama Desk nominations. Laura Bell also appeared on television as "Marah" on Guiding Light, "Becky" on How I Met Your Mother, "Shelby" on Hart of Dixie, " Ginger" on Fuller House and her leading role as "Dr. Jordan Denby" on Anger Management opposite Charlie Sheen, and many more. Laura Bell's film work includes Dream Girls, Jumanji, Life with Mikey, The Adventures of Huck Finn, Home Is Where The Heart Is, After The Reality, Beauty Mark, CMT's To The Mat, Hallmark's Dear Dumb Diary, Up's Season's Greetings, and Lifetime's Becoming Santa.
