Due to Hurricane Sandy, the WWD CEO Summit had to be rescheduled from October. It now opens Monday with a lineup of speakers from different corners of the retail and fashion industries. The CEO Summit is being held Monday and Tuesday at The Plaza in Manhattan.
On the schedule set to speak are CEO's
Ron Johnson of J.C. Penney Co. Inc., who is leading the department store through a dramatic top-to-bottom transformation; Emanuel Chirico of PVH Corp.; Andrew Rosen of Theory; J. Christopher Burch of C. Wonder, and
David Dyer of Chico's FAS Inc.
There is also many designers speaking, including Marc Jacobs,
Lazaro Hernandez and Jack McCollough of Proenza Schouler, and Karl Lagerfeld.
Other notable speakers include Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand; Huang Hung, CEO of the China Interactive Media Group; Scott Malkin, chairman of Value Retail plc; Cheryl Guerin, senior vice president at MasterCard; Georg Petschnigg, CEO of FiftyThree Inc.; Gary Hamel, professor of the London Business School and director of the Management Information Exchange; R.
