WONDERSHOW Returns To Public Arts

On Wednesday January 16th, WONDERSHOW is back at Public Arts with a collection of A-list performers from the worlds of Magic, Vaudeville and Burlesque!
Since 2013, this popular variety series - which TimeOut New York describes as "Professional Mindfuckery" - has developed a reputation as the best place to experience all things astounding and confounding, but the upcoming production promises to be a truly magical event.

In addition to appearances from fan favorites Miss 360 and Meister Blast, this latest installment will include a headlining performance from America's Master Mentalist, the legendary JON STETSON. Along with acting as a consultant on the CBS drama, "The Mentalist, Stetson has traveled the globe for over 30 years as a featured entertainer for heads of state, titans of industry, Kings, Queens, and 5 U.S. Presidents.

He has also made appearances on PBS, CBS and the A&E Network, among many others.
By layering uproarious comedy into each performance, Stetson creates a uniquely hilarious experience that never fails to blow the audience away. As a third generation mind-reader, he deftly combines the art of mystery, the study of Psychology, and the power of intuition into a potent blend of sophisticated fun, and the result is pure, slack jawed amazement.

During the interactive presentation, he does everything from correctly guessing the numbers in an audience member's head to predicting their mother's first name. He also has the ability to divine personal memories like the name of a woman's first boyfriend, or perhaps details of her first kiss. Even the most skeptical audience members begin to feel a renewed sense of wonder as impossibilities become realities.

But after so many years, how does a Master Mentalist reconcile all the different genres of mystery entertainment? In a recent profile, Stetson explained, "My goal is to create a genuine experience. Some people feel the need to put up disclaimers, but I say, 'Just go out there and do it.' Whether you see it as Magic or Mind-reading, we both park our car in the same garage." He goes on to say,"Life should be a never-ending process of education.I've been doing this for nearly 40 years, and I'm at the place where people can categorize me anyway they'd like."
