The smash hit revival of WEST SIDE STORY celebrates its first anniversary on Friday, March 19, 2010, at Broadway's Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway) having begun previews Monday, February 23, 2009, and opened Thursday, March 19, 2009. Karen Olivo won a 2009 Tony Award for her performance as "Anita," and the new Broadway cast album won the 2010 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album. WEST SIDE STORY recouped its $14 million investment after running only 30 weeks (247 performances), and a touring production is set to tour North America beginning in the fall of 2010.

WEST SIDE STORY is directed by its two-time Tony Award winning librettist Arthur Laurents with the original Jerome Robbins choreography restaged by Tony Award nominee Joey McKneely. The cast of 48 stars Matthew Hydzik and Jeremy Jordan as "Tony," Josefina Scaglione as "Maria," Karen Olivo as "Anita," John Arthur Greene as "Riff," George Akram as "Bernardo," Steve Bassett as "Lt. Schrank," Joshua Buscher as "Diesel," Mike Cannon as "Snowboy," Kyle Coffman as "A-Rab," Sara Dobbs as "Anybodys," Wes Hart as "Action," Michael Mastro as "Glad Hand," Michael Rosen as "Chino," Lee Sellars as "Krupke," Ryan Steele as "Baby John," Greg Vinkler as "Doc," Mikey Winslow as "Big Deal" and Mark Zimmerman.

Tickets for the Broadway production of WEST SIDE STORY at the Palace Theatre (1564 Broadway) are on sale at www.ticketmaster.com (212-307-4100) or at the Palace Theatre box office. WEST SIDE STORY plays Tuesday at 7 p.m., Wednesday - Saturday at 8 p.m., Wednesday and Saturday at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Broadway ticket prices are $121.50 - 46.50.
