Shannon has starred on Broadway in Grace, Ambassador and Butterflies Are Free, as well as off-Broadway's The Little Flower of East Orange, Mistakes Were Made, Our Town, Bug and Killer Joe. He was nominated for an Oscar for his role in the film Revolutionary Road and is a regular on HBO's Boardwalk Empire. Shannon also helped found A Red Orchid Theatre in Chicago, where he regularly appears and performs.
