Good morning, BroadwayWorld! Because we know all our readers eat, sleep and breathe Broadway, what could be better than waking up to it? This weekend's big news: BOOTYCANDY begins previews, the LUCKY STIFF movie premieres in Montreal, and NEWSIES and BULLETS OVER BROADWAY close the curtain for the last time this Sunday!

Next up in our series of Broadway stars introducing BWW's morning feature is Derrick Baskin (portrait by Walter McBride), who is currently starring off-Broadway in 'A PIECE OF MY HEART' and has appeared in Broadway's MEMPHIS, THE LITTLE MERMAID and THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE.

Quote of the Day: 'BULLETS' star Zach Braff on shaping a show...

I think in a play it's wise to just sit back and watch other actors and be able to shape it from the audience.

What we're looking forward to: What Idina Menzel has in store for us once her Facebook page hits 1 million likes! So close!

And finally, a Happy Birthday shout-out to James Corden, who turns 37 today!

Corden originally starred in One Man, Two Guvnors in the West End in 2011 -- the show then transferred to Broadway, and he won a Tony Award and Drama Desk Award for his performance in 2012. He also appeared in 2004 in the London production of The History Boys, which moved to Broadway in 2006 and hit the big screen that same year. The actor will appear as 'The Baker' in the film adaptation of Into The Woods (which hits screens this Christmas) and is also rumored to be the next host of The Late Late Show.
