And a Happy Birthday shout-out to Hugh Panaro, who turns 51 today!
Panaro is best known for starring in the title role in Broadway's Phantom of the Opera several times since 1999. He is also one of the few actors to play both Raoul (1991) and the Phantom. Before he joined Phantom, Panaro played 'Marius' in Broadway's Les Miserables. He has also appeared on the Great White Way in Lestat, Side Show, Show Boat (also in the West End) and The Red Shoes. Panaro also took the stage in New York productions of Call Me Madam and Merrily We Roll Along, as well as Mack and Mabel with the Rockettes. Regionally, Panaro has appeared in 5th Avenue Theatre's Sunday in the Park with George, Walnut Street's Oliver! and Les Miserables at The Muny.
