Neuwirth returned to Broadway's Chicago this year to play 'Matron Mama Morton' (she won a 1997 Tony and Drama Desk Award for her roles in the show). She has also starred onstage in The Addams Family, Fosse, Damn Yankees, Sweet Charity (for which she received her first Tony in 1986), Little Me, Dancin' and A Chorus Line. Neuwirth started her TV career in Cheers and Frasier and went on to appear in The Good Wife, Blue Bloods and now Madam Secretary.
