Lippa has written the music and lyrics for Broadway's BIG FISH and THE ADDAMS FAMILY, as well as off-Broadway's THE WILD PARTY, ASPHALT BEACH and JERRY CHRISTMAS. He penned the music for Broadway's THE FARNSWORTH INVENTION and YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN, and off-Broadway's JOHN & JEN, CHEF'S THEATER: A MUSICAL FEAST and A LITTLE PRINCESS. Lippa also played piano for Broadway's STANLEY and off-Broadway's SMILING THROUGH and JOHNNY PYE AND THE FOOLKILLER. He conducted for PATTI LUPONE ON BROADWAY. His vocal arrangements and voice can be heard in Stephen Schwartz's animated feature THE PRINCE OF EGYPT (which is now being made into a musical). More recently, Lippa wrote a tribute to the life and legacy of Harvey Milk; I AM HARVEY MILK was created for the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus and eventually appeared in concert starring Kristin Chenoweth in New York City.
