Weaver starred last year in Christopher Durang's Tony-winning play Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. Before that, she appeared on Broadway in Sex and Longing, Hurlyburly (for which she was nominated for a Tony in 1985) and The Constant Wife. Among her off-Broadway credits are Das Lusitania Songspiel -- which earned her a Drama Desk nod -- Beyond Therapy, The Merchant of Venice, The Mercy Seat and more. On the big screen, Weaver is well known for her role as 'Ellen Ripley' in the four Alien films, which earned her an Oscar nomination in 1986. She has also starred in Ghostbusters, Gorillas in the Mist, Working Girl, Avatar and more.
