Lincoln Center Theater's critically acclaimed production of Rodgers & Hammerstein's SOUTH PACIFIC will be the subject of a 30 minute TV special A SALUTE TO "RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN'S SOUTH PACIFIC," to be broadcast on Saturday evening, May 17 at 7:30 pm on WABC-TV, with a rebroadcast scheduled for Sunday, May 25 at 5:30am.

RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN"S SOUTH PACIFIC opened at the Vivian Beaumont Theater on Thursday, April 3 and was recently nominated for 8 Drama Desk Awards including Best Musical Revival and 8 Outer Critics Circle Awards including Best Musical Revival. The original cast recording of the Lincoln Center Theater production will be released by Sony Masterworks on May 27.
