The latest tastemaker to be featured in leading designer e-retailer Bluefly's popular Closet Confessions is W Magazine's fashion market and accessories director, Karla Martinez de Salas. A regular style star at Fashion Week, Karla has an impeccable eye that combines editorial vision with a Southwestern flair courtesy of her Mexican and Arizonian roots. The Closet Confessions episode features Karla's SoHo apartment filled with beautiful pieces from her travels and her equally drool-worthy closet. She has also curated an assortment of designer must-haves for fall at Bluefly's sister site, Belle & Clive.

With years of experience at trend-setting glossies like Elle, Vogue, Interview, T Magazine, and now at W, it's no surprise Karla Martinez de Salas is a lover of all things style. "I love style as a whole-not just fashion," she explains. "The way you live, your furniture, the way you travel, the way you eat-all of that kind of comes together. I really love translating that art into the magazine." Her personal and eclectic style is shown on to extend from a giraffe-legged bowl found in South Africa to a custom wedding gown designed by Carolina Herrera.

As a fixture at every major Fashion Week around the world, Karla has tips on how to survive long days and constant traveling. Her busy day must-haves? A bright lipstick, a moisturizer, and comfortable shoes. "During Fashion Week, if you're not comfortable in your shoes, you can't walk in your shoes," she says. "And no matter how amazing your outfit is, if you're not comfortable in it, it doesn't work."

Karla Martinez de Salas is the latest fashion insider to be featured on the award-winning Closet Confessions series found at Bluefly.com/Closets. The viral series was launched by premiere online retailer Bluefly in April 2010 to give customers exclusive access to the personal wardrobes of fashion's biggest and brightest. Other contemporary style influencers and fashion-forward celebrities that have been featured are blogging sensations Leandra Medine and Erica Domesek, W Magazine's beauty director Jane Larkworthy, Scandal star Kerry Washington, indie musicians Tegan and Sara, and E! News co-host Giuliana Rancic. Karla's video was directed by Brian Quist. Quist, a documentary filmmaker, has worked with luminaries ranging from The Dalai Lama to Natalie Portman and with global brands such as Lancôme, Michael Kors, Allure Magazine, Vanity Fair and Vogue.
