April 10th, the acclaimed "Monday Nights, New Voices" series--which
showcases rising Broadway talents--will continue at The Duplex Cabaret
Theatre.
The 7 PM concert at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre will feature Tye Blue (
Rent world tour, European
Hair tour), Alison Cimmet (New York:
Machinal, Taxi Cabaret, regional:
Waiting for the Moon), Tory Ross (
The Producers national tour and movie), Aléna Watters (
NEWSical, Boobs! The Musical) and Katie Thompson. Hosting the evening will be
Dance of the Vampire's
Max von Essen, with
My Life With Albertine's Ricky Ian Gordon and up-and-coming composer Ryan Scott Oliver (
Making Beautiful) as the special guest composers.
"Last month marked a year since composer Scott Alan
set out to produce the monthly series that showcases up and coming
talent at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre and teams them with established
and up and coming composers in a one night only event. In the year
since its debut, many of todays most acclaimed Broadway stars and composers have joined together to honor the New Voices for there exciting achievments and to celebrate their exciting future," state press notes. "The show has gone on to see many of its performers star on Broadway, touring productions and off-Broadway."
The April 10th evening will be musically directed by
Barbara Anselmi.
