As part of their very first collaboration together, the brand-new and quickly growing New York Theatre Barn will produce an evening of cabarets on May 17, 2007, including Kim Cea, Katie Thompson, and Ryan Scott Oliver.

The Ryan Scott Oliver set will begin at 730pm and will feature the talents of Britta Ollmann, Carey McCray, and Donna Vivino and will include the songs "A Hypochondriac's Song," "What It's Worth," "No One's Gonna Love You, Bitch," and several selections from the most recent Ryan Scott Oliver show, Alive at Ten.

Oliver wrote the music and lyrics for Alive at Ten (Disney/ASCAP Musical Theatre Workshop NYC 2007), Taking Possession (for Raw Impressions), A Day in Space, Quit India (Richard Rodgers Award Finalist), and the hit Los Angeles musical revue Making Beautiful ("A superior life-lesson saga with insightful lyrics…[the show] highlights Oliver's promise."-The LA Times). Exclusively as a composer, he wrote the music for Angus Oblong's The Debbies and for the plays Scab and A Child's Christmas in Wales; as a lyricist, he contributed the words for the musical Circle Nine, which received a reading in 2006 starring Matt Cavenaugh (Grey Gardens). He is currently hard at work music-assisting Zina Goldrich and Marcy Heisler on the Broadway-bound Ever After, and on the youth musical Univers-All for City at Peace NYC.

Vivino performed in Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me after a long stint in the Broadway company of Hairspray. She has previously appeared on Broadway in Saturday Night Fever and was the original Young Cosette in Les Miserables. Her film and television credits include "Everyday People" (HBO), Married to It, "Hometown" and "All My Children." She is the founder of the new On a Break Productions.
