Producer, acclaimed composer (Off-Broadway's THE WOODSMAN) and virtuoso violinist Edward W. Hardy brings another story to light with his original, and newly released, solo violin compositions inspired by the Japanese Legend of "The Pearl Diver" - The Lovers Dance.
The Pearl Diver, a 2016 play first shown at the Hudson Guild Theater in NYC, tells a magical tale about a young female, who dives for pearls, and a Sea Dragon. It dramatizes a Japanese legend told in many variations and forms. It appears in Japanese Kabuki dance, in a medieval Noh play, and was visually rendered in Japanese illustrated scrolls.
Edward W. Hardy has released his musical compositions to the public starting with "Ship at Sea" and now "The Lovers Dance. Watch this behind the scenes video of Edward in the recording studio and stay tuned for the rest of this beautiful story.
