According to several reports on Twitter, Vice President Joe Biden and his wife, Jill Biden, were spotted at Broadway's Hamilton tonight, July 27, just days after President Barack Obama gave the musical a rave review and continued to gush about it on THE DAILY SHOW. They were greeted by a standing ovation just before the performance. Others also saw Biden in line for tonight's HAMILTON lottery.

No photos from their visit yet, but BroadwayWorld will be on the lookout!

Biden is known for taking in -- and even participating in -- culture whenever he can. He visited last year's A DELICATE BALANCE on Broadway, starring Glenn Close and John Lithgow, and appeared in three episodes of the TV comedy PARKS AND RECREATION with Amy Poehler.

Lin-Manuel Miranda's latest musical, HAMILTON, recently started previews at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, in advance of its August 6 opening.

Just last week, President Barack Obama and his daughters attended the Saturday matinee of HAMILTON, and BWW brought readers full coverage of everything from photos to tweets. Click here to check out pics!

HAMILTON has book, music and lyrics by Tony and Grammy Award-winning composer Lin Manuel Miranda, who also plays the title role. The musical is directed by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler and music direction and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire. HAMILTON is inspired by Ron Chernow's biography "Alexander Hamilton."

HAMILTON which recently transferred to Broadway following a sold-out run at The Public Theater in NYC is the acclaimed new musical about the scrappy young immigrant Alexander Hamilton, the $10 Founding Father who forever changed America with his revolutionary ideas and actions. During his life cut too short, he served as George Washington's chief aide, was the first Treasury Secretary, a loving husband and father, despised by his fellow Founding Fathers and shot to death by Aaron Burr in their legendary duel.
