Vered and the Babes will star in a hip concert for families at the Jewish Museum on Sunday, February 21 at 11:30 am. The band, featuring Vered Benhorin with Rob Jost and Matt Hilgenberg, performs funny, poignant, and upbeat melodies, reminiscent of doo-wop, from their hit albums Good Morning My Love, praised by the Parents' Choice Foundation as having "warmth enough to melt the polar ice cap." Vered and the Babes play a variety of instruments, ranging from French horn and trumpet to pots and pans, with kids and parents alike jumping and singing along. The concert program includes songs geared to helping new parents bond with their babies as well as tunes for children up to age 6.

Tickets are $18 per adult; $13 per child; $15 adult Jewish Museum family level member; and $11 child Jewish Museum family level member. This concert is for children ages 2 to 5. Adults are asked to accompany their children. For further information regarding family programs at the Jewish Museum, the public may call 212.423.3337. Tickets to these family concerts can be purchased online at TheJewishMuseum.org/programs/families. The Jewish Museum is located at Fifth Avenue and 92nd Street, Manhattan.

Vered Ronen's songs draw on her experience as a music therapist, guiding parents through the joys and challenges that come with parenting. She leads workshops and lectures in New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles on using music to bond with babies. Her material is based in attachment research, developmental research, and music therapy tools.

Rob Jost, a bassist, French hornist and songwriter, has been a member of the Sesame Street band for the past 6 years. He tours, performs and records for many bands such as the Tony Scherr Trio and Ursa Minor. Matt Hilgenberg plays trumpet and percussion, and has toured and recorded with bands in all genres including Bebo Valdes, Chico O'Farrill, Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, Antibalas, and Billy Joel's Broadway show Movin' Out.

The Edgar M. Bronfman Center for Education's school and family programs are supported by endowed funds established by the Bronfman Family, the Muriel and William Rand Fund, the William Randolph Hearst Foundation, the Helena Rubinstein Foundation, Rosalie Klein Adolf, the Kekst Family, and Mrs. Ida C. Schwartz in memory of Mr. Bernard S. Schwartz. Family programming is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council and Councilmember Daniel R. Garodnick.
