Vanessa Williams Joins Cast of Season 2 of ELSBETH

BroadwayWorld previously reported that Nathan Lane would be among the stars in the second season of the CBS series Elsbeth. Now, we have confirmation that he will be joined by another Broadway favorite.

Deadline reports that Vanessa Williams is set to appear as a guest star in Season 2 of the series, playing the character of Roselyn. She is described as a wealthy jewelry store member who, after learning that she is out of money, decides to embark on a jewel heist.

She will star alongside Pamela Adlon, Rob Riggle, and Brittany O’Grady. Season 2 of Elsbeth premieres on Thursday, October 17 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS. Read more at Deadline.

A graduate of Syracuse University, Vanessa is a strong advocate for equal rights, especially concerning the gay community and minorities. She was honored with the Human Rights Campaign Ally for Equality Award for her humanitarian contributions. Vanessa also achieved a career pinnacle with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007. Vanessa’s autobiography, You Have No Idea, co-written with her mother Helen Williams, was a New York Times Best Seller in 2012.
