Late night comedy troupe FUCT (www.fuctnyc.com) will take on one of six coveted solo performance slots in this year's Sketchfest NYC, on Friday, June 11th at 12am (Midnight), at the Upright Citizen's Brigade Theatre, 307 West 26th Street, NY, NY.

FUCT is no stranger to the theatrical stage. Though possessor's of a twisted sense of humor, FUCT's roots come from the theatre and Broadway. Cast member, Graham Skipper, has just returned from Los Angeles where he appeared as the lead, HerBert West, in the staged reading of Re-animator the Musical, alongside such heavy hitters as William Atherton, Meshach Taylor and avid FUCT fan George Wendt (see review). In addition, Van Hughes, who is currently appearing in Green Day's American Idiot, will be joining FUCT's live rock band for the evening.

FUCT's most recent adventure on the festival circuit was the 2010 Chicago Sketch Comedy Festival. They were quickly invited back after being named "Crudest Show" of the 2009 Chicago Sketchfest by Nina Metz of the Chicago Tribune. This year, FUCT polished itself up and blew the people of Chicago away. Chicago media relations expert, Guy Wicke, said this of the show, "Absolutely outrageous, absolutely fearless, and possibly deranged, these guys know how to put on a hell of a show."

Sketchfest NYC marks FUCT's first show of the year to feature all original material. Recently, they faced off and won against fellow SketchfestNYC performers Harvard Sailing Team, Elephant Larry and Best of Friends in Jackpot X, a sketch comedy competition crafted by Black Apple International.

The troupe has spent the rest of 2010 focused on its plan to conquer the internet. On May 14th, FUCT celebrated its website release (www.FUCTnyc.com) and new web series (Failures Under Continuous Testing) with a night of performances by Black Taxi, The Frontier Brothers and Lady Circus at the Music Hall of Williamsburg. The website will continue to feature future episodes and digital content over the course of 2010.
