I tried something recently and want to share it with you. Here's the caveat, I'm going to be vague.

I recently was managing my calendar because I spend about a half hour per week reviewing it for any potential train wrecks and time blocking the most important tasks to the best of my ability. Last month I was feeling cheeky and added a random event just for fun labeled Surprise Miracle Day and went about my business. There was nothing strategic about the action-I simply declared it. Well, that day came along shortly, and low and behold, I received two out- of-the-blue surprises that were totally unexpected and wonderful.

One was financially delightful and one was a random joy moment that happened with friends. Both unplanned. Both completely out of the blue. Or were they? Were they happy accidents? Law of attraction? Or just the fact that these things are happening every moment of every day of every year of our lives and sometimes we actually have our eyes open to appreciate them?

Either way, I can assure you I have another one posted on my calendar for this month. I think it's a rather interesting thought experiment for you to play with over the next few months. Randomly (hint: intuitively) pick one day per month to be your special surprise day and give it a name that means something to you.

We sometimes forget in the hustle-and-bustle of things to keep dreaming. To keep wishing. To keep believing. Use all that gadgetry of yours and infuse it with some childlike wonder and not just "to-do- lists."
