In September of 2014, actor Emma Watson, best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film series, announced, in her capacity as UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, the creation of the HeForShe campaign; a movement with a mission to galvanize as many men and boys as possible to be advocates for gender equality.
Under the leadership of Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka, UN Women is a United Nations entity dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women. A global champion for women and girls, UN Women was established to accelerate progress on meeting their needs worldwide.
With such great national attention focused for the past year on Lin-Manuel Miranda's HAMILTON, it only seemed appropriate for Watson to post a four-part video interview with the Tony and Grammy winning MacArthur Fellowship recipient to discuss, among other topics, the feminist aspects of his Broadway smash.
Of course, the hip-hop musical theatre composer could not let their chat end without the two of them collaborating on a bit of freestyling.
