VIDEO: 'Today's Al Roker & Natalie Morales Cameo in Broadway's ALADDIN

In celebration of Aladdin's 2nd anniversary on Broadway on Sunday, March 20th, "TODAY" Co-Anchors Natalie Morales and Al Roker recently made cameo appearances in front of a sold-out crowd of more than 1,700 in a performance of the hit Broadway musical. Natalie and Al both appeared in the show-stopping number "Friend Like Me" alongside Tony-winner James Monroe Iglehart (Genie), Adam Jacobs (Aladdin) and the rest of the company. Aladdin opened to critical acclaim on March 20th, 2014 and quickly established itself as one of the biggest new blockbusters in recent years, already welcoming over 1.5 million people and breaking 11 New Amsterdam Theatre house records. Produced by Disney Theatrical Productions, Aladdin features music by Tony Award and eight-time Oscar® winnerAlan Menken (Beauty and the Beast, Newsies, Sister Act), lyrics by two-time Oscar winner Howard Ashman (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid), three-time Tony Award and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice (Evita, Aida) and four-time Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin(The Wedding Singer), with a book by Beguelin, and is directed and choreographed by Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw, who makes history this spring as director-choreographer of four concurrent Broadway musicals.

Aladdin, adapted from the Disney film and centuries-old folktales including "One Thousand and One Nights," is brought to fresh theatrical life in this bold new musical. Aladdin's journey sweeps audiences into an exotic world of daring adventure, classic comedy and timeless romance.
