It's a story as old as Hollywood's Golden Age, but one that never grows stale; the love triangle that arises when dreams of fame and fortune clash with dreams of romance.
Cirque du Soleil's PARAMOUR tells its tale in the first Cirque du Soleil production that incorporates the athleticism and circus artistry the company is famous for into a story-and-character-driven Broadway musical.
Their new video introduces playgoers to Hollywood director A.J., played by Jeremy Kushnier, Broadway's original Ren McCormack in FOOTLOOSE and a 2015 Drama Desk Best Actor In a Musical nominee for his performance in ATOMIC.
A.J. believes that the only love he needs is the applause of millions until he meets Indigo (Ruby Lewis, making her Broadway debut), a nightclub singer looking to be the next "It Girl." Indigo has a professional relationship with composer Joey (Ryan Vona, seen on Broadway in ONCE), but secret longings surface once A.J. gets involved.
Their story is told not only with song and dialogue, but with interpretive ballet moments performed in the world-famous Cirque du Soleil style.
Cirque du Soleil has dazzled audiences the world over, and now it's finally on Broadway with its boldest, most heart-soaring spectacle ever. PARAMOUR, a Cirque du Soleil musical, is a landmark production for Cirque du Soleil, blending the best of Broadway with Cirque du Soleil's signature style.
