Everybody knows that the classic Broadway musical FIDDLER ON THE ROOF tells the heartwarming and dramatic tale of the Jews of Anatevka, as they struggle though life and try to maintain balance with their traditions.

But what about the gentiles of Anatevka? What about their struggles and traditions? If not a musical, perhaps their story can be told in a sitcom.

That's why Schticky Shorts offers a small taste of The Golden Goys, where FIDDLER ON THE ROOF cast members Nick Rehberger, Michael C. Bernardi, Karl Kenzler and Jeffrey Schecter thank each other for being a friend.

Sounds crazy, no?

A beloved theatrical classic from Tony Award-winner Joseph Stein, and Pulitzer Prize- winners Jerry BockandSheldon Harnick, Fiddler on the Roof is directed by Tony Award-winner Bartlett Sher (South Pacific, The King and I); choreographed by the acclaimed Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter; inspired by the original choreography ofJerome Robbins; and has musical direction by Ted Sperling.Fiddler on the Roof stars five-time Tony Award-nominee and Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Award-winner Danny Burstein (Cabaret, Golden Boy, Follies, South Pacific) as Tevye, and Tony-nominee Jessica Hecht (A View From the Bridge, "Breaking Bad," The Last Night of Ballyhoo) as Golde.

The original Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof, which opened in 1964, was the first musical in history to surpass 3,000 performances.
