The star of Broadway's Tina - The Tina Turner Musical, Adrienne Warren was a guest on Tuesday night's episode of THE LATE SHOW WITH Stephen Colbert to talk about the musical. During the interview, Warren tells tells host Colbert what it was like to meet the legendary performer for the first time.

Colbert asked Warren what it was like meeting Tina Turner for the first time, to which she replied, "It was terrifying." Warren goes on to say that, "The first time I met her we were doing a workshop of the show when we were putting show the up for the first time in London, so I was playing Tina Turner in front of her. That's the first time I met her."

Colbert then asks Warren, "What's the first song you sang in front of her?" Warren replied, "I remember I didn't look at her until I sang "Proud Mary," because I thought if I didn't go further in this project I at least wanted to be able to tell my grandkids this happened. I looked at her and she was singing along and dancing, and I went, 'It's okay. It's okay, it's okay.'"
