As BWW reported over the weekend, in an interview with ESPN, tennis star Roger Federer revealed that at a recent performance of Broadway's FINDING NEVERLAND, he was moved to tears. "I couldn't control myself," admitted the athlete. "They [his four children] were asking me, 'What's wrong with you, Dad?'"
On Saturday, following a three-set win over Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber, the Grand Slam champ shared that he has been taking in much of the culture that New York City has to offer, including a performance of the new hit Broadway musical Hamilton.
"Last night we went to see the musical Hamilton," Federer told ESPN following the match. "Which was absolutely fantastic!"
The folks at Hamilton were thrilled for the shout out, and took to Twitter to thank the tennis star by posting video of the interview along with the caption "Thank you @rogerfederer for your kind words after your win yesterday! Wishing you best of luck @usopen #USopen!" Watch the video!
