VIDEO: Linda Lavin Returns To Broadway in Richard Greenberg's OUR MOTHER'S BRIEF AFFAIR

The last time Linda Lavin appeared on Broadway, back in 2012, she was unforgettably meticulous in dishing out cruel banter in Nicky Silver's THE LYONS. Now, in Richard Greenberg's OUR MOTHER'S BRIEF AFFAIR, presented by Manhattan Theatre Club, she plays a woman who may be forgetting more than she remembers.

The new play by the Tony Award winner is directed by MTC's award-winning artistic director Lynne Meadow. The limited engagement of OUR MOTHER'S BRIEF AFFAIR begins previews tonight, December 28, and opens Wednesday, January 20 at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

Joining previously announced Tony and two-time Golden Globe Award winner Lavin are Kate Arrington (Grace, The Qualms), Greg Keller (Of Good Stock at MTC, Belleville), and John Procaccino (An Enemy of the People at MTC, Incident at Vichy)..

On the verge of death for the umpteenth time, Anna (Linda Lavin) makes a shocking confession to her grown children: an affair from her past that just might have resonance beyond the family. The creative team for the production features Santo Loquasto (scenic design), Tom Broecker (costume design),Peter Kaczorowski (lighting design), and Fitz Patton (sound design).

OUR MOTHER'S BRIEF AFFAIR marks the 11th collaboration between Greenberg and Manhattan Theatre Club.
