Tonight's the night for Broadway's Jennifer Damiano. Coming off last season's critically acclaimed performance in AMERICAN PSYCHO, the Tony Award nominee is ready to share her unique journey into adulthood in her solo concert debut at Feinstein's/54 Below, on July 26 (10PM) and July 29-30 (9:30PM).
But even for a seasoned stage star, performing in your cabaret debut at a major venue can be a nerve-wracking experience, so, in this hilarious new video, Damiano turns to Tony-winner and cabaret veteran Laura Benanti for some advice.
Damiano made her Broadway debut at age 15 in Spring Awakening before her breakout performance as 'Natalie' in Next to Normal and later originated the role of Mary Jane Watson in Bono and The Edge's Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. Written with Pulitzer-prize winner Brian Yorkey (Next to Normal) with new arrangements by music director Benjamin Rauhala(American Psycho) and produced by John Mara Jr., the concert will take a look back at Damiano's whirlwind of an adolescence in the theater, with favorite melodies from her life and career throughout.
Featuring Special Guests Adam Chanler-Berat (July 26 and 30 Only), Meghann Fahy, Robi Hager (July 26 and 29 only), and Alice Ripley.
