The hottest emerging stars of film, television, music, fashion, social media and literature convened at Kimpton's Surfcomber Miami, South Beach tonight to kick off Art Basel in Miami at Logo TV's "2014 New Now Next Awards," the definitive farewell party for 2014 and predictor to who and what will dominate pop culture in the year to come. The event premiered on LOGO TV on Sunday, December 7 and will air on MTV on Friday, December 12 at 7 p.m. ET/PT.

The night's big winners included Sam Smith (Best New Musician- Male), Betty Who (Best New Musician- Female), Natalie Dormer (Best New Lead Film Actress for "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1"), Ansel Elgort (Best New Lead Film Actor for "The Fault in Our Stars"), "Looking" (Best New Television Series and Jonathan Groff as Best New Television Actor), Lorraine Toussaint (Best New Television Actress, "Orange is the New Black"), A Great Big World (Best New Music Group), Justin Simien (Best Motion Picture by a New Filmmaker, "Dear White People"), Gillian Flynn(Best New Screenwriter, "Gone Girl") and "Hedwig and The Angry Inch" (Best New Broadway Production- Musical).

After almost missing his call time, actor and singer Darren Criss jumped out of bed, scrambled to the stage, all while throwing on his clothes to flawlessly host the event after being taunted by the show's narrator, Cyndi Lauper. Jessie J delivered a fiery performance of her smash hit "Burnin' Up." Kristin Chenoweth performed a stunning rendition of "Maybe This Time" from "Cabaret" and earned a standing ovation after receiving the New Now Next Forever Award from "Glee" co-star Darren Criss. Singer Betty Who made her awards show debut with a medley of her hits "Somebody Loves You" and "All of You," accompanied by synchronized swimmers from the Aqualillies. "Girl Code" star Nicole Byer left the audience roaring with laughter during her impromptu 'auditions' for "Orange is the New Black", "How to Get Away With Murder" and "American Horror Story: Freak Show," while Bianca del Rio, reigning Drag Superstar of "RuPaul's Drag Race," was named Best New Television Personality and offered her unique critique of 2014. Celebrity DJJoe Jonas kept the turntables hot and crowd moving, while trophy boy Billy Reilich, better known as Nick the Gardener, turned the heat up even more by surprising some award winners in a speedo and also taking a few laps in the pool.

The event featured special appearances by "Orange is the New Black" stars Danielle Brooks, Lorraine Touissant, Laverne Cox & Lea DeLaria, Nick Jonas, Charli XCX, Mary Lambert, "Looking" stars Raúl Castillo & Frankie Alvarez, Nick Cannon, Tyler Glenn, A Great Big World, Fifth Harmony, Lance Bass, Perez Hilton, Tyler Oakley, Hannah Hart, "Awkward's" Molly Tarlov, as well as "Faking It's" Katie Stevens and Michael J. Willett.
