Levo's Caroline Ghosn recently sat down with actor Kevin Spacey on the set of House of Cards to discuss his life, his love of the craft and work with The Old Vic Theatre, mentor Jack Lemmon, the moment he knew he should be an actor, the entertainment industry, and much more.

Interview excerpts:
How his mentor, Jack Lemmon, helped him realize he was an actor - "Jack Lemmon walked up to me and he put his hand on my little 13-year-old shoulder and said 'that was a touch of terrific - you're a born actor, I'm serious. You should go to NY and study because you were meant to do this for your life.'... to be given that kind of acknowledgment and praise as a 13-year old is almost like life changing... He became the most important mentor and father figure and friend that I could have hoped to have had as I was beginning my career."
Dealing with the critics of The Old Vic Theatre: "I kept saying to our staff... look, we have to recognize that there are going to be people who have very, very strong opinions about what we should be doing but we are not in the business of satisfying those people... If we brought all the critics together, they wouldn't fill one row and we have to fill a lot of rows in this theater, we have to bring a lot of people into this theater."
