In a new interview with PEOPLE, LIFE IN PIECES star James Brolin tells the site that his wife of 17 years, Barbra Streisand has a great deal in common with another superstar, Lady Gaga.
"They are both so couragous," explained the actor. "Even back in high school, everyone was in uniform and she'd [Barbra] show up in something she'd brought in a vintage clothes shop." He adds, "And yet to them it feels normal and right." Watch the interview below!

Ms. Streisand is the recipient of the American Film Institute's Lifetime Achievement Award, the National Endowment for the Arts Medal, two Peabody Awards and the French Légion d'honneur. Ms. Streisand is also the first female film director to receive the Kennedy Center Honors.
