As BWW reported over the weekend, Idina Menzel turned to Twitter to share the exciting news that she became engaged to fellow actor Aaron Lohr, who appeared in the 2005 film adaptation of RENT with her. On Saturday, ET spoke to the Broadway legend at the iHeart Radio Music Festival held in Las Vegas where she showed off her engagement ring and shared her excitement over the news that her newly released self-titled album is currently in the top 10 on the iTunes charts.

"I'm super happy, yeah! Very happy," the 45-year-old told ET. "I'm happy because it's all coming together, everything feels good. I went through a lot of stuff and it's new beginnings."

Speaking on her latest album, the RENT star shares, "It's just what I've been wanting to do my whole life. Just make music and sing for a living. To get accolades is great." She adds, "Coming from the theater, everybody always said you couldn't break through with the pop thing and I always believed in myself that I could, so I appreciate people giving me a chance."

The Tony Award winner went on to share who her dream collaborator would be. "I've always said if I could do a duet with someone, it'd be Bono," she admits. "My whole life, that's all I've ever said. I still have not done a duet with him." Watch the interview in full below!

Menzel's voice can be heard as Elsa in Disney's global box office smash "Frozen," in which she sings the film's Oscar-winning song "Let It Go," and in the follow-up short, "Frozen Fever."

Menzel earned her first Tony nomination as Maureen in the Pulitzer Prize winner RENT and won the award for her performance as Elphaba in WICKED. Other notable projects include "Glee" and Disney's "Enchanted." She most recently appeared on Broadway in IF/THEN.
