Christopher Jackson stopped by this morning's GOOD DAY NY to talk about starring as Founding Father George Washington in the hit Broadway musical, Hamilton. The actor was greeted by hosts Greg Kelly and Rosanna Scotto, decked out in baffoonish period costumes in 'honor' of the show. The duo later went on to show off their 'rapping' abilities to the Broadway vet, who looked on increduously. Despite the antics, the well-spoken and classy star managed to not be thrown by any of the odd lines of questioning throughout the awkward interview and bizarre attempts at 'gotcha' questions.
Following the appearance, Jackson took to his Facebook page to share his thoughts on his discomfort during the appearance, posting:
Can't remember a time where I found myself having to try so hard to NOT be embarrassed for someone as I was this morning.
What some people fail to realize...when you try to take the piss at something you know NOTHING about, you risk making yourself look incredibly small, petty, and uniformed.
I KNOW what I do. Will ALWAYS comport myself and act in an honorable way, especially when I'm talking about my art/work. I've never been a bafoon in MY work.

HAMILTON opened at the Richard Rodgers Theatre recently, celebrating with some all-American fireworks at the after-party. "HAMILTON" has book, music and lyrics by Tony and Grammy Award-winning composer Lin Manuel Miranda, who also plays the title role. The musical is directed byThomas Kail, with choreography byAndy Blankenbuehler and music direction and orchestrations byAlex Lacamoire. "HAMILTON" is inspired by Ron Chernow's biography "Alexander Hamilton."
"HAMILTON" which recently transferred to Broadway following a sold-out run at The Public Theater in NYC is the acclaimed new musical about the scrappy young immigrant Alexander Hamilton, the $10 Founding Father who forever changed America with his revolutionary ideas and actions. During his life cut too short, he served as George Washington's chief aide, was the first Treasury Secretary, a loving husband and father, despised by his fellowFounding Fathers and shot to death by Aaron Burrin their legendary duel.
