Germany loves TINA - THE Tina Turner MUSICAL: the only original production by Stage Entertainment authorized by Tina Turner celebrated the German premiere in the Hamburg State "Operettenhaus" on Sunday evening.

The audience took to their feet at the curtain call, giving the Company a standing ovation and when Tina Turner joined the Company on stage, there was no holding back: "I am absolutely thrilled", says Tina Turner. "This musical means a lot to me and I am very pleased that the German audience acclaims it, too. I wish the production of TINA a great time in Hamburg at the Reeperbahn."

Over 1,200 invited guests experienced the story, which has never before been told till now, of the woman who ventured like no other artist to break down the borders of age, sex and skin color. From her modest beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, to her transformation up to her rise to becoming an internationally celebrated and popular rock icon.

From humble beginnings in Nutbush, Tennessee, to her transformation into the global Queen of Rock 'n' Roll, Tina Turner didn't just break the rules, she rewrote them. This new stage musical, presented in association with Tina Turner herself, reveals the untold story of a woman who dared to defy the bounds of her age, gender and race.

The critically acclaimed production received its world premiere in April 2018 in London and subsequently has broken all Box Office records at the Aldwych Theatre. Next month, the German premiere of TINA - THE Tina Turner MUSICAL begins performances at the Stage Operettenhaus in Hamburg and the musical will have its Broadway premiere in Autumn 2019.
