Below, watch Grammy Award® winners Fantasia and Wynton Marsalis chat about After Midnight, the new Broadway musical celebrating the timeless music of Harlem's Golden Age. The show recently received 7 Tony Awards nonimations, including Best Musical!
About the show:
The lights dim... The music simmers... And the theater gets ready to blast into the stratosphere-as a company of 42 top-flight singers, dancers and musicians takes the stage to create what New York Magazine calls "an apotheosis of pure joy." It all happens at After Midnight, the new Broadway phenomenon that catapults the greatest music of Duke Ellington and Harlem's Golden Age into the 21st century. The New York Times says, "It's hot, sweet and altogether glorious. You'll be in seventh heaven!" Heart-stopping vocalists, eye-blurring tappers, rule-breaking dancers and chart-topping Special Guest Star singers-led by Grammy®-winner Fantasia, now through Feb. 9-join forces to create a singular theater experience. They're all joined onstage by Emmy®-winner Dulé Hill and The Jazz at Lincoln Center All-Stars, a 17-piece band hand-selected by jazz legend Wynton Marsalis. As the New York Post says, "Don't, under any circumstances, miss it!"Videos
