FashionOne takes you backstage of Derek Lam Spring Summer 2015 during New York Fashion Week. American designer Derek Lam delivered a calm and cool collection, showcasing a collection include leather jackets, suede skirts, trench coats, pencil skirts and tops. They used a color palette with a shade of lavender, teal, blue tones paired with white and black. The catwalk show ended with a bit of peplum and platforms.
About Derek Lam:
Derek Lam, a native of San Francisco, began his fashion career in 1990 after graduating from Parsons School of Design. After twelve years spent at the highest levels of fashion as a designer at Michael Kors, Lam launched his eponymous label in 2003 together with business partner Jan-Hendrik Schlottmann. In 2006 Derek Lam was named Creative Director for the Italian luxury brand Tod's, designing their ready-to-wear and accessories collections in addition to his own line.
