The buzz around La Jolla's new musical Diana, about the life of Princess Diana, has been growing.
Now, director Christopher Ashley and choreographer Kelly Devine are chatting with KPBS News about the show's journey, and how they've gotten to explore the famed Princess's message.
"I think the interest in Diana has really not faded," Ashley said. "She's been gone for a couple of decades and she's still front-page news every day."

Diana is running through April 14, 2019 at La Jolla's Mandell Weiss Theatre.
Jeanna de Waal (Broadway's Kinky Boots, American Idiot) portrays the role of "Diana." Joining her are Erin Davie(Playhouse/Broadway's Side Show) as "Camilla Parker Bowles," Roe Hartrampf(Off-Broadway's Bad Guys) as "Prince Charles" and Tony Award winner Judy Kaye (Broadway's The Phantom of the Opera) as "Queen Elizabeth," along with ensemble members Holly Ann Butler, Taylor Coleman, Eric Coles, Bruce Dow, Evan Duff, Madison Noelle Hall, Shaye Hopkins, Nicole Javier, Justin Keats, Gareth Keegan, Nathan Lucrezio, Tomas Matos, Allyn Moriyon, Lauren Livia Muehl, Jamen Nanthakumar, Enrico Nassi, Katheryne Penny, Lindsay Roberts, Tara Shoemaker and Bethany Ann Tesarck.
