In the last element of competition durin the two-hour Season Finale of ABC's DANCING WITH THE STARS, the couples performed a new routine as part of a "24 Hour Fusion Challenge." During Monday night's show, the remaining couples choose songs for their competitors that Fuse two contrasting dance styles and they had less than 24 hours to prepare that dance for judges' points last night.
Corbin Bleu and his partner Karina Smirnoff were challenged with fusing the FOX Trot and Cha Cha for their final performance. Check it out below!
"Right now we're second on the leader board so this Fusion dance is vital," said Corbin Bleu during last night's rehearsal for the finale. "It's all about the judge's score and pleasing them and having the technique right" adding, "I've pushed myself to new boundaries."
After the couple danced, judge Len Goodman commented, "Corbin you are a fantastic dancer. Lovely footwork, the way you swayed through that dance was very, very rare."
Agreed Bruno, "with such a short time [to rehearse], it was incredible. Your FOX Trot glided across the floor beautifully and your flair for Latin is fantastic."
Said Carrie Ann, "I have so much respect and love for you. What you are doing out here is unbelievable."
The couple received a score of 27 out of 30 points for a total of 89 when combined with last night's score.
In the end, Corbin finished in second place in the competition, but shared that he felt blessed to have had the experience on the show.
