It was Hollywood Night on ABC's DANCING WITH THE STARS as contestants paid tribute to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood.

Corbin Bleu and his partner Karina Smirnoff attempted the quickest ever quick step in the history of the dance competition. "My mind is blown by how many intricate parts there are," said Corbin during rehearsals.

Following their performance which elicited a standing ovation from the crowd, Bruno commented "This is one for the record books, I've never seen anything like it. Maintaining synchronization is almost impossible and you did it."

"It was very impressive... your footwork was sizzling on my eyes" said Carrie Ann. "This season is going to be the toughest race to the finish line."

"For me it was a bit hectic at times," criticized Len. "Speed came in and then style went out. You lost a little bit of your frame, but it was a fabulous number."

The couple earned a score of 26 out of 30. Combined with viewer votes, the couple was safe and will move on to next week's round of competition.

"Dancing with the Stars" is back with an all-new cast and fresh show format. The competition will shake things up this season by transitioning to a one night, two-hour format. The premiere episode will kick off with a spectacular opening number featuring the entire cast. Each couple will then perform a Cha Cha, Foxtrot or Contemporary routine, vying for America's vote for the first time. Beginning with the second episode on Monday, September 23, one couple will be eliminated at the end of the show by combining the judges' scores from the first two weeks with the public votes from the previous week.

Hosted by Emmy Award-winning host Tom Bergeron ("America's Funniest Home Videos") and Brooke Burke-Charvet ("Dancing with the Stars" Season 7 Champion), "Dancing with the Stars" is the hit series in which celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which are judged by renowned ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.
