Comedy Central comedian Nathan Fielder, host of the reality show "Nathan for You", talked to reporters just before the LA County Department of Public Health shut down his "Dumb Starbucks" stunt store on Monday, February 10. Fielder said "he doesn't need permission to use the real company's logo because he's operating under parody law."

"I am going to say if they keep the pressure up they do risk losing me as a customer," Fielder said.

"Nathan for You" often tricks customers via gags at small businesses as part of the series.

The real Starbucks responded to Fiedler's fake store with a statement by company spokesman Zack Hutson, who said: "We are evaluating next steps and while we appreciate the humor, they cannot use our name, which is a protected trademark."
