"Breaking Bad" star Bryan Cranston, who currently stars in Broadway's 'All the Way', had a tough decision to make once his Emmy Award winning AMC hit drama series came to its conclusion. Rather than taking on another dramatic role, the three-time Emmy Award winner chose instead to star in a reboot of a kitschy monster movie.

Cranston stopped by this morning's Today show to explain why at first, he had turned down the role. "I was coming off of 'Breaking Bad,' and I didn't know that doing a 'Godzilla' movie would be the best choice for me," he told Today's Matt Lauer. "But I was convinced to read the script, and so I read it, and there was actually a very strong, character-driven component to it."
