On tonight's episode of FOX's AMERICAN IDOL, Broadway's John ARTHUR Greene (MATILDA) auditions for a golden ticket to Hollywood. Be sure to tune in and root him on - and watch a sneak peek of his performance below!

26-year-old John ARTHUR Greene will soon star in North Carolina Theatre's production of GREASE in the role of teenage heartthrob, Danny Zuko. He most recently performed on Broadway in the hit musical MATILDA (Doctor, u/s Mr. Wormwood), and also starred as "Riff" in West Side Story. He is also recognized for his performance as "Robert Mullins" from NBC's live television presentation of Peter Pan last November, and performs solo music all over NY, most recently performing during Andrew Lloyd Webber's New York Times Talk.

John ARTHUR was one of the original students in NC Theatre's "Kids on Broadway" program, which later became the North Carolina TheatreConservatory, and has appeared in several NC Theatre mainstage shows including Joseph..., Sound of Music, South Pacific, and A Chorus Line.

Last week, AMERICAN IDOL returned for its farewell - and 15th - season. Featuring host Ryan Seacrest and judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick, Jr., the farewell celebration will pay tribute to the past 14 seasons, the amazingly talented contestants and the millions of fans who called, tweeted, texted and championed their IDOLS.

The audition journey will feature auditions from Denver, CO; Little Rock, AR; Philadelphia, PA; San Francisco, CA; and Atlanta, GA. Hopefuls from around the country will be given one last shot to sing for a ticket to Hollywood and become the final AMERICAN IDOL. Once again, Scott Borchetta, President and CEO of the Big Machine Label Group and one of the most successful forces in the music industry today, returns as mentor to help shape the career of the competition's winner.
