BroadwayWorld.com is, once again, celebrating the Holiday Season with a special 'countdown' which will reveal some favorite holiday-themed performances! For the 5th Anniversary of this Exclusive Feature, we've invited director/producer Richard Jay-Alexander to be our first-ever Guest Editor, to share with us HIS holiday favorites. His list will be composed of holiday songs and boasting performances with artists we know and love from Broadway and beyond. We'll bet that this countdown will surely get you into the holiday spirit, as the big day rolls around on December 25th, but we won't forget Chanukkah and Kwanzaa either. This is sure to be a 'Must Check-In Daily' event to see what's on RJA's list, while we wish you Happy Holidays from all of us at BroadwayWorld.com!

Unless you've been living under a rock this year, you will know that this year has been the YEAR OF IDINA MENZEL. With Elsa from FROZEN and her soaring vocal on Bobby and Kristen Lopez's "Let It Go", inspiring more YOUTUBE videos than even Pharrell Williams' "Happy" and then, John Travolta's "gaffe" on Oscar night, annointing her with the new name of ADELE DAZEEM, it was off to a pretty good start.

Add her starring role on Broadway in Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey's IF/THEN and a Holiday album entitled HOLIDAY WISHES on Warner Bros. Records, and the end of the year is looking pretty great, too.

But, it's all the "in-between" stuff that make her a reigning queen in the prime of her career.

So ... Day 4 belongs to Idina Menzel and we have for you a recent performance of "Baby, It's Cold Outside", with Michael Buble, with whom she recorded the song on her album. It aired on British television's The X Factor and Buble, of course, has HIS upcoming Holiday Television Special, CHRISTMAS IN NEW YORK SPECIAL, which airs tonight in Canada and in the U.S. tomorrow on NBC, with guests Barbra Streisand, Ariana Grande, Miss Piggy and The Rockettes.

Idina Menzel's HOLIDAY WISHES charted at #5 this week. Not # 5 for Holiday Albums, but #5 on the Billboard Top 100. The Tony-Award winning hero to millions of fans also has huge followings on all social media, including over 1 MILLION fans on Facebook. It's no surprise, and you can tell what a sincere, genuine, honest and loving person she is from the beautiful speech, given this past week at the Billboard Women in Music Awards. Clearly TEAM IDINA is doing something VERY RIGHT, but they also have the "real estate" with which to do it :)
