Just as the internet was supposedly made for porn - at least as far as the Tony Award-winning Best Musical's ribald lyrics go - so was AVENUE Q made for FOX's hit musical dramedy series GLEE.
The off-the-wall humor. The irreverent attitude. The seriously awesome musical numbers. So, are the two worlds at last managing to merge, lo, five seasons into the run of the popular series? According to a recent series of Tweets by Glee mastermind Ryan Murphy, AVENUE Q seems to be a likely possibility - or, there's at least a major puppet extravaganza to look forward to in the offing.
Murphy Tweeted last night, as we reported earlier today, "Glee puppets! With many more to come! Who's ur favorite so far?" along with a photo of ten of the cast-members rendered colorful miniature puppet figurines.
Now, Murphy has provided yet another glimpse into the upcoming Glee puppet show, with a shot of breakout star and Broadway headliner Darren Criss among the friendly fuzzy faces featured, captioning it, "Blaine and friends".

So, is an AVENUE Q tribute in the ether for a future Glee S5 ep - with perhaps even a Muppets moment or two, too? Time will tell, for now!
GLEE airs Thursdays at 9 PM on FOX.
